How To Make A Prezi Like Presentation In Powerpoint

By Ora Dickson

Doing a report in front of an audience can be quite nerve wracking. You will even feel more nervous if you are presenting in front of an audience that are executives of a company. If you are not careful on how you present your data, you might end up losing the trust they have in you. If you wish to have a successful report, then here are tips for your prezi like presentation in Powerpoint.

The first tip that you should follow always is to start presenting on time. If you are late or if you are dilly dallying with the said task, you will end up putting your crowd in a bad mood. You will lose their interest if you do this. Presenting to a crowd that is not interested in what you are offering them can be quite tough.

The next thing that you will have to take into account is the message of the report that you are presenting to them. As much as possible, you should sum up what you want to tell the audience in one single sentence. If you can do this successfully, you can show that you really understood the topic and that you have already mastered it.

If you have summed up the message of what you are presenting in one sentence, then you should be able to take advantage of that one sentence to search for results that can support your overall message. You can get basic information as well as experimental details when you search using that one sentence.

It is also a given to think about your opening as well as your introduction. You have to make proper preparation for this because this is what will decide whether or not you can catch the attention of the executives. The opening can come in the form of a scientific question, provocative statement, or catchy phrase.

Do not forget to greet the crowd before you actually start presenting though. You have to acknowledge those who have come to listen to what you are presenting. You should even give honor to those who deserve the honor. If you greet the crowd, they will feel that you are really interacting with them.

You should try to use graphs and tables when presenting. Instead of writing out the numbers and putting them in bullet forms or such, having graphs and tables should let the crowd understand what you are presenting to them easily. These are visual aids that can help the crowd catch up to your explanations without having to read a lot of text.

The report you make must be concise and brief. You should not make it drag out too long because that will just put you in a bad spot with the executives. It is better if you are straight to the point so that you can easily give the point of your report to the executives without any extras.

There has to be a conclusion to the report. This conclusion must be the bottom line of what you are reporting to your executives. It is important that the executives understand well your message as well as the conclusion that you are trying to get across to them.
