By Joseph Yew

There are many things that the iPhone can do. It's a phone, a calendar, a camera and is capable of a vast array of possible uses. However, it is up to you how you want to use your iPhone. Only you know how to best use it for your lifestyle. This article discusses some useful tips for getting the most out of using your iPhone.

If you want to save an email or a text without sending it, tap on cancel. A box inquiring whether you wish to save, cancel or not save the message draft will appear. The message will be moved tot he Drafts folder when it is saved. If you have no Drafts folder, your phone will make one when you make that choice.

Did your iPhone freeze or is unresponsive? If the Home and Sleep buttons are not responding, hold down the Home button and wait six seconds before releasing it. Doing this should automatically close any locked apps. If this method still doesn't want to work for you, then your next option should be to press the "Sleep" button along with the "Home" button, and make sure you hold it for around 10 seconds. This will reset the iPhone.

Be gentle with your iPhone cord as they have shown to be delicate. If you have to disconnect it from a power outlet or USB port, make sure you do it gently. Your cord will last approximately a year with proper care.

Purchasing an iPhone case could potentially save your phone. You can actually shatter the glass on the iPhone's front if you drop it without proper protection. Although the case is not a guarantee that nothing will happen to the device, it certainly helps.

Smaller windows on your Safari browser can be painstaking to navigate through. You might be scrolling the main website instead. If problems arise, see if you can zoom in on the relevant window. Then, use two fingers to scroll, rather than just one.

Have you lost a photo opportunity because the camera app was too slow to bring up? There's a faster way to take pictures. Clicking on the home button two times will get you to this area. Look for the camera icon at the screen bottom. Press the button to enable the camera.

Don't store videos that you're never going to watch again on your iPhone. After you view videos on your phone, you will see a prompt that will ask you whether or not you want to delete the video. Do this so that you can free up some space on your phone.

Remember to update the phone as updates become available. This means that your phone will always have what it needs to function properly. That also requires you to save images and critical data to your computer. This way, should something occur with your phone you are going to have a backup.
