Occasionally we get very tired of people enabling us down. We get very frustrated and aggravated when somebody doesn't do what we would like them to do or what we believe they should do. We get annoyed when others don't follow by way of with what they mentioned they were planning to do. We spend a lot of time and energy getting mad and talking about them when maybe we should commit more time and energy on helping.
Maybe our targets are too high of them. Possibly they really had good intentions. Or it could be that possibly they just don't care. It's actually hard to know the real reasons behind why others let us lower. When we put our hope in others and expect more than they can provide, we need to stage back and determine if what we are requesting of them is realistic. We should think about these things:
The last issue is key. What other options do we have rather than depending on others? When we acquire the focus off of what they are doing (or not doing) that is really aggravating us, we can step back and see their side of the account. They may be working with a frustrating scenario we don't even realize about. They may have conditions beyond their handle that keeps them from following through with us. They may not have the knowledge, skill or desire to do what we all are asking of them.
Rather than acquiring aggravated with others when they let us lower, let's look for ways to help them. Let's look for just what we can do for them. Let's be more concerned about their situation and know that when we aid them, it can help us as well. We will become far better people. We may become better listeners when we choose to find out what all is going on their lives. We will be able to listen and help.
It's all about a attitude. We can get annoyed and all upset about the circumstance or we can do something about it. If we choose to let it go and find out how we can aid them, we will take the focus off of us and on them. The almighty wants us to stop focusing on ourselves and start focusing on others. When others let us down, that may be God saying "hey, they will need your help" and He desires us to use that opportunity to be a see for Him. God will in no way let us down so we can constantly put our desire and trust in Him.Next time someone lets you down, do this:1.Request them what is going on in their lives 2. Think about how you can assist.
