How to Perform Jailbreak Kindle Fire,

By Sebastian Cork

No matter how advanced and sophisticated a device is, hackers and independent developers always find a way to get around and eventually tweak them. That's because these people feel like every new gadget that's unveiled is somewhat limited in some manner by the designers and engineers who build them. Such is the case with the Kindle Fire. This new Amazon tablet device runs with the latest Google Android operating system. That is why it is also one of many devices that can be tweaked and rooted in order to produce more functionality, hence the term jailbreak Kindle Fire. The purpose mainly is to put added customization than what is originally allowed by Amazon. Thus, if you own one and want to keep up with the latest trends in apps, games, and customization, you might want to look at rooting and jailbreak your Fire.

This article will be providing a thorough and comprehensive guide on how to jailbreak Kindle Fire and eventually get more out of the same device. However, keep in mind that we will be focusing on the firmware version 6.2.2, and this guide may not be compatible with other versions. Also have in mind that you must be able to comprehend and master every single step in this process before you can actually say you've rooted your device successfully.

But before beginning the jailbreak, be sure to have the following things first: your Kindle Fire e-reader with 6.2.2, a micro USB cable compatible for PC connection, Kindle Fire Utility software, and a laptop or personal computer. Using Windows 7 on your computer is preferred and when you have them already, you can begin by installing the Kindle Fire Utility software.

Bear in mind as well that you cannot continue with the rooting process if you lack the essential drivers and installations required by the Kindle Fire Utility. Hence, be sure you're able to install and follow everything given in the utility instructions. If you've done so, you can double click the run.bat file found in the Utility software folder. As you do it, you then have to wait for a few seconds for the notification message to appear. And when it does, it will confirm that rooting is enabled. After this, you exit and the device will restart.

After the restart, you have to connect the device once again to the PC and press any key to commence. Messages will pop up, but you will simply ignore the same and wait for the Kindle Fire Utility to appear. And this happens all you have to do is pick 6 from a list of options. After which, pick 2 and hit enter. By doing so, the files will then be downloaded automatically. The speed of the download will determine how much time you have to wait, but it really depends on the speed of the internet you have.

Lastly, there will be another prompt telling you that the root is finally enabled. Be mindful that you're not going to do anything at this point since you must wait until the final process is done. The entire rooting process may actually take a while but it is important for you not to disrupt or disconnect anything until a popup message appears, notifying you that the installation is finished. And when it's finished, the Kindle Fire restarts, and you can unplug it. So that's basically the entire jailbreak process. You're done!
